I'm such a little shit and LOVE proving people wrong that I did the unthinkable this weekend :-D I pulled the headliner, A, B and C pillars as well as the deck lid and am dying them black. Pics of Stella stripped soon.

well... its not pretty

Stella started making a weird grinding noise in the back drivers side rotor this week. Decided that it probably was in fact time for new brakes, took it in this morning at 8am..... About an hour later, the brakes place called (oh, YAY, its done!) no, not even close, turns out, I have 60% pad left on my fronts and my left rear rotor is ground to salt essentially thats $400 Ok, kind of expected (I had looked at it and it was grinding to the point that there were grooves in it so, kind of expected and actually knew that a new rotor would be needed) 9:21am- another phone call.... Caliper won't seat in to the piston, need a new caliper $160 two of them is $300... So,  at this moment, were up to $560 and some change, not including tax and labor (as far as I know). Its now 10:02am and as time ticks on I can only imagine them coming up with yet another problem.. Time will tell.

I got Joeys!

I FINALLY found the time to go up to Derek's and pick up my Joeys. His car is looking killer. He put coils on it and got a new votex lip for it. It looks great! Now... I just need to find time to install them.. hmn.. 

Well....

Derek bought new HID Halo Projectors for his car... for me this means, I get his clearer/joey'd headlights :-) ..... Just gotta find time to get em.

2010 is coming, do you know what you're going to be doing?

I do! As promised, the plans for 2010 list.

-Coils, just so I can go low

-Audi A8-L wheels with Black Cherry Pearl or Pearl inserts

-Hail damage removed (been on the list forever)

-Booser hood

-Tinted windshield

-Gli front and rear lip and side skirts

-Gli tails

-New exhaust

-Black leather swap

 

I'll keep the big BIG mod a secret for a little while longer.

**If possible, Stella may go from a Jetta to a Getta. I need to source a GTi front end-which means someone will want to swap

Recently

  I had back surgery to take the screws(13) and rods(2) out of my back due to severe pain caused by Bella (great dane) and they found out that I had a fractured spinus process so...  work on Stella has been halted. I cant drive for at least a few more weeks (one way to make me crazy haha) which means I cant go anywhere to pick up parts. :-( I did however figure out that I can recover the rear shelf in my state. So I'll be doing that.

  Christmas was good and bad, I got a fantastic new DSLR camera but no car stuff, kind of disappointing but oh well. 

BIG things are in store for 2010, Ill make a separate post about those plans, stay tuned. Happy holidays! 

 

Attempted...

To clean up the headlights today-that was a bust. Derek Joey'd his-they look AMAZING! I did however clean up the plastic that turned white from the wax. Lookin' good. I will eventually get my pictures up from ODF.. I promise
